(NaturalNews) There are a whole lot of choices out there when it comes to purchasing storable emergency food. Companies claiming to offer the "highest quality" meal options at the lowest possible prices are everywhere these days, and some brands obviously fit the bill better than others in this regard – though it often takes a lot of digging through ingredients labels, serving sizes, and package options to figure all this out.

While the need for storable food couldn't be greater with everything going on in the world today, many people are confused about where to begin. It's a big investment that could mean the difference between life and death, which is why it's vital to choose your storable emergency food wisely. But how does one go about making this important decision?

The bad news is that the majority of what's out there, despite all the hype and marketing claims, is just highly-processed junk food filled with chemicals, preservatives, and other toxins. But the good news is that there are solid choices like Numanna Organic Survival Food, which Natural News and the Consumer Wellness Center (CWC) have determined to be the cleanest and healthiest storable survival food on the market.

But don't just take our word for it. Have a look at some of the ingredients used in many of the popular survival food brands on the market today, and compare them to what's used in Numanna. The difference is night and day, as you'll clearly see, and the choice couldn't be more obvious.

Most storable food a cornucopia of GMOs, hidden MSG, and chemical preservatives

Many big box stores, online retailers, and wholesalers carry Chef's Banquet storable food, a product of Ready Project. With a motto of "Live Life Ready," Chef's Banquet sells products like "Savory Black Beans and Rice" and "Chicken Flavored Vegetable Stew" that are branded as highly nutritious and ready in a pinch.

But behind the pretty packaging are disturbing ingredients like corn syrup solids, carrageenan, Yellow #5 and #6, and hydrolyzed corn protein that represent some of the worst chemical food additives that you can put inside your body.

Corn syrup solids is basically just dried corn syrup, which is terrible for blood sugar and inflammation. More often than not, it's also derived from genetically-modified (GM) corn. Carrageenan is a seaweed derivative associated with causing gastrointestinal damage, while Yellow #5 and #6 are petroleum-based food colorings that can cause neurological damage. And hydrolyzed corn protein, as well as hydrolyzed soy protein, which is also used in Chef's Banquet product, is just a hidden form of the "excitotoxin" monosodium glutamate (MSG).

These and other toxic ingredients are also found in many other storable food brands as well, including names like Mountain House, My Patriot Supply, Legacy Premium Food Storage, Backpacker's Pantry, Augason Farms, eFoodsDirect, HoneyVille, and many others.

Numanna, on the other hand, is 95 percent certified organic, and contains none of these toxic ingredients. You won't find any GMOs or artificial colorings, nor will you find any MSG derivatives, refined sugars, or chemical preservatives. Also free from Numanna storable food are all traces of toxic heavy metals and residues of herbicides like glyphosate (Roundup), which are often found in food products that contain grains like wheat, barley, and oats.

"This is what I'm stocking up on right now," says Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, who pioneered the development of Numanna Organic Survival Food. "There isn't a cleaner, more honest and more health-promoting storable food product in the world. I co-developed the Numanna Organic Family Pack to be extremely nutritious and as close to 100% chemical free as you can get in today's world."
