That's according to Spanish news outlet Diaro Gol who reckon the Argentine superstar is desperate for Barca to bolster their ranks.

The Catalans lost 2-0 to Real Madrid in the Supercopa last night.

They also slumped to a 3-1 defeat in the first-leg at the Nou Camp.

And Messi, 30, has demanded reinforcements following the £199m sale of Neymar to Paris St-Germain.

The Barca legend is keen for the club to sign Ousmane Dembele.

However, progress has stalled and the Borussia Dortmund star could stay in the Bundesliga.

If a breakthrough isn't found in the chase for Dembele, Messi has earmarked three other players.
