Artist: Leonardo da Vinci

 

The painting is by the legendary painter of the world-famous painting Mona Lisa, Leonardo da Vinci. Jesus Christ dressed in Renaissance garb and bestowing a blessing with his right hand raised and two fingers crossed can be seen. Salvator Mundi, which literally means “Saviour of the World,” was painted near about in the 1500s was often put under the radar for its authenticity. The piece was bought by the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Badr Bin Abdullah Al Saud. It is rumored that the painting is put up on the Saudi prince’s yacht and is reserved for display at Saudi’s very own cultural center in Al Ula.

Artist: Willem de Kooning

 

Interchange is an oil painting painted on canvas by Dutch-American abstract painter Willem de Kooning. It was one of the first of Kooning’s abstract landscapes. Hedge fund billionaire bought this painting along with Number 17A in a $500 million deal.

The thirst most expensive painting in the world is “The Card Players.” The Royal family of Qatar bought the painting in 2011. There are four other pieces titled the same, but they are situated at the Metropolitan Museum of art, the Musée d’Orsay, the Courtauld, and the Barnes Foundation.
