The Moon Knight trailer is out now, and among the thousands of fans glued to the TV waiting for its premiere on Monday night was none other than the show's lead star himself, Oscar Isaac. The Dune actor stars as the titular hero, first introduced in the trailer as Steven Grant, a museum employee with dissociative identity disorder. The trailer for the new Marvel series later reveals his alternate identity, mercenary Marc Spector (or Moon Knight), who'll soon be finding himself entangled with the dealings of Egyptian gods and other characters inspired by ancient mythology.

Moon Knight will span six episodes and also star Ethan Hawke as a currently unnamed villain. Aside from Isaac, Hawke, and two other actors, Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy, Marvel has for the most part kept coy about the show's cast and plot details. The air of mystery surrounding Moon Knight only fueled anticipation for the trailer that debuted on ESPN and ABC during the NFL Wild Card game between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.

Isaac himself was just as excited, and based on his filmmaker wife Elvira Lind's Instagram story, it appears they decided to make a night out of the Moon Knight trailer release. The couple, along with some family and friends, grabbed snacks and wine and tuned into Monday Night Football to catch the Moon Knight trailer premiere. Check out Lind's photo below.

Isaac is generally known to be one of the more down-to-earth personalities in Hollywood, so it's fun to see him acting like the rest of us, sitting at the edge of his couch and waiting for the trailer of his own show. Keep in mind that actors, even those in starring roles, are but a small part of a larger production that also employs hundreds of people working behind the camera and in the editing room. At this point, Isaac likely hasn't seen much of the finalized footage that appeared in the trailer, so it makes sense for Moon Knight's lead star to be as enthused as anyone else.

Isaac, hopefully, came away pleased with the result. His performance seems promising as the Guatemalan-born actor sports a British accent and frantic demeanor, grappling with both his real-life and superhero personas. The trailer is dark, trippy and humorous all at the same time, and Moon Knight seems primed to fit well with the overall tone of the MCU while also maintaining its own distinct character. Fans will find out soon enough when Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
