Votul adminilor (staff vote)

Votul membrilor (member vote)

Spoiler

The purpose of this topic is to help players understand the process of choosing new faction leaders. I will explain the process step by step, starting with the creation of the potential leaders list, all the way to the interview before becoming a leader.

The steps taken when choosing a new leader are as follows:

1. Senior admins propose multiple players which are eligible for becoming leaders.

2. The staff vote begins for the chosen players and each admin has 24 hours to vote for the player they consider most appropriate to become leader. (Staff Vote)

3. The first 3 players with the most amount of votes from the admins will move forward to the members vote. If there's a tie for the 3rd place, all players that tied will move forward to the members vote and the members of the respective faction will simply have more potential new leaders to vote.

4. The faction members can vote in the next 24 hours the member which they deem as the most fitting leader out of the players which moved past the staff vote poll. Members need to have at least 20 hours in order to be able to vote in the poll.

5. The winner of the poll will hold a small interview with one or more Senior Admins in which he'll be asked multiple things (about his personal life, the rules etc.). This interview does not require any knowledge in advance and cannot be failed, but senior admins reserve the right to not offer the leader position to the player if there are various red flags regarding its behaviour. (e.g. the player doesn't seem to be the owner of the account, he refuses to take the interview etc.)

Moving on, we'll go through each step mentioned above and explain what each of it entails.

Choosing eligible players to become the next leader (the list)

Senior admins have multiple criteria which they follow when picking potential players for the leader position. The criteria are as follows:

- no recent (usually in the past 30 - 60 days) punishments of any type whatsoever received from admins; this also includes forum punishments

- no major punishments received from admins in the past 6 months; e.g. banned for cheats, illegal affairs etc.

- no issues regarding the player's behaviour; here we also check the way the candidate talks in RPG complaints, if he's insulting other players, belitteling or disrespecting others etc.

- minimum 100 days and rank 4 in the current faction or a faction of the same type; e.g. if you fulfill these conditions in a gang, you can be placed on the leader list for a different gang

- roughly 1 real hour played daily; e.g. if a list is made on the 15th of that month, we expect the players to have at least 15 real hours in order to be eligible but the more  hours the merrier

In the eventuality of there not being enough eligible players, these criteria can be slightly modified in order to allow more players to be on the list. As an example, players with less played hours or less days in the faction can be chosen, less major punishments such as non-rp and c-bug can be overlooked and so on.

If in a particular faction there are multiple eligible members, the chance for us to pick players from other factions is minimal. As a recent example, for the latest SFPD leader poll we were able to pick 7 eligible players from the faction. Given the high amount of players with rank 4 and 100 days spent in the faction, we had plenty of options to choose from but only 7 remained as a result of the other criteria.

Admins Poll (staff vote)

In the staff vote, any admin is allowed to vote. In the past leaders used to also be able to vote but we decided to temporarily revoke this privilege.

The first 3 players with the most amount of votes will move forward to the members poll (members vote). If there's a tie for the 3rd place, all players that tied will move forward to the members vote and the members of the respective faction will simply have more potential new leaders to vote. The same logic applies in the more rare cases when there are multiple ties for the 1st or 2nd place. (e.g. a vote where 5 players have 3 votes each, will allow all of them to move forward)

Another example in order to understand the process a bit better is the staff vote for the next Hitman Agency Leader from 30.06.2021.

qiVqRRJ.png

In this situation, the players that moved forward were BlackHawk and diviNE, which had the most votes, as well as Greet.rtv and YourCharisma which were tied for the 3rd place, so a total of 4 players moved forward to the members vote.

Members Poll (members vote)

For the second poll, only faction members are allowed to vote, including the previous leader if he's still part of the faction (he wasn't kicked out of the faction). In order to vote, a player needs at least 20 played hours in the past 2 months (real + sleep hours).

The players on the list are allowed to ask members for their vote but they are not allowed to buy votes or make fake promises. As an example, if you're on the list and you promise a player Rank 6 if they vote you and you manage to win only to then refuse to keep your promise, you risk losing the position as a leader as a result of potential complaints.

The player with the most votes will be declared the next leader for that particular faction. If multiple players tie for the first place and there are other players on the list which have been voted who could make a difference, the poll will be remade only with the players that tied for the 1st place.

The leader interview

The player who won the members poll will get in a Discord call with one (or more) senior admins and will be required to have a casual conversation with them. He'll be asked various things from the following subjects:

- personal life, what they're doing at the moment, if they're studying, what they enjoy doing in their free time etc.

- their experience regarding the game, faction etc.

- regarding the rules and how familiar he's with them etc.

- if you have any questions regarding the leader position or other information that would be important for the senior admins to know (e.g. unusual work schedule, constantly changing IPs due to travelling and so on)

In theory this interview cannot be "failed" in the traditional sense. The only situations in which the player won't receive the function is if as a result of the interview, the player raises various red flags which lead us to believing he's untrustworthy or incapable (e.g. lies, hides info, acts childish, cannot hold a conversation etc.)

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is there a minimum age to be a leader?

A: There is no minimum age. The important thing is to show that you're serious and capable for the position. Even if you're 12 years old, as long as you can prove that your head is in the right place and can handle the responsibilities, everything is ok.

Q: I'm not on the list but I feel like I should be, what can I do?

A: First and foremost please look over the criteria and over your own account. If you see any reasons for which the senior admins have not picked you, that's probably why. If you somehow don't find a reason, open a ticket and the situation will be explained to you.

Q: I have proof that a player on the list does not fulfill the criteria, what can I do?

A: If you have concrete evidence, you're encouraged to open a ticket and explain the situation as soon as possible. Senior admins will analyze your evidence and explanations, after which they'll make a decision if applicable.

Q: I had a disagreement with an admin, is it possible to be excluded from the list because of it?

A: If you simply had a disagreement, you won't be excluded from the list as long as you behaved yourself. The important thing is acting in a civilized manner even if you can't get along with everyone. As long as you haven't insulted or outright cursed that admin, you're probably fine.

Q: The member who won the player's poll refuses the position, what happens then?

A: The poll will take place once more with the remaining players on the list.

If you ever have question, do not hesitate to ask them. We know it's a popular topic and you're curious about it so we're trying to be as transparent as possible regarding all aspects of it.
