Tips on how to have high FPS/low ping

In this topic I will teach you some tricks to have low ping.First,I'm gonna explain to you what ping means.

 

Ping=The time it takes for a network packet to leave your computer, go to another one, and return. Lower = better. Can also be a source of gloating in network games. Typically measured in milliseconds."Send a packet to a computer and wait for its return (Packet Internet Groper)"

 

The source of high ping are the applications that we use in the same time(it also depends on your internet connection).For example,if I opened Yahoo Messenger/Opera/Skype and GTA San Andreas I will probably have high ping,which means that my game will be lagging.

 

To stop the lagg you could close some of your applications.

 

If this does not work,go to Options-->Advanced-->Set your Draw Distance to 0.

Options-->Advanced-->Set your Frame Limiter to off.

Options-->Advanced-->Set your Visual FX Quality to off.

Options-->Advanced-->Lower your Resolution until the lagg is no more.(800 x 600 is a decent resolution)

 

 

To make sure that your FPS will be higher make sure to download these files.File 1 & File 2 !

You must extract them using Winrar or 7Zip(both programs should work just fine).Copy all the files that you just extracted to your GTA San Andreas folder.

 

There is also a program that you can use to decrease your ping.You can download it from here !

Instructions: Open gta3.img with imgtool or g-img ( i'd suggest g-img because imgtool is going to take you ages) Put the no tree mod files in your gta3.img using one of these tools ; After that you go to C:\Program Files\Rockstar games\GTA San Andreas and open SA_StreamMem_fix, replace your vorbis files with these ; and put the ASI file inside the map.After that, you go to C:\Program Files\Rockstar games\GTA San Andreas\models and open Low effects mod, you replace every map/file that's in your models with these files in low effects mod folder.After that you go to C:\Program Files\Rockstar games\GTA San Andreas\data and you replace the timesync.dat with the one already existing.And you put the timesync.aaa in the same map.You replace your gta.exe with the one in the map.After you've done that you run the GTAShrinker v1.03.After you've done that you go ingame and check what's happenin ; after you've done that you open more fps tool,double click specular, motion blur, heathaze, and disable.Attention !!! - Don't click on "very" low. It will mess your gta up.

New: SA FPS increaser, go ingame open the file and it will auto-patch in and you'll get a lot more FPS.

Tutorial for instlation :
