Mic rezumat despre joc
Jocul este al doilea din serie(primul fiind Mass Effect).
Dupa evenimentele din primul joc, Commander Shepard este omorat intr-o ambuscada de catre misterioasele creaturi numite Collectors.
Shepard este inviat 2 ani mai tarziu dupa atacul unei enigmatice organizatii numite Cerberus, si ii este incredintat o misiune cu scopul de a afla mai multe despre Collectors si de ce au rapit intreaga colonie umana.Shepard trebuie sa construiasca o echipa pentru a duce la bun sfarsit misiunea, ea fiind caracterizata "misiune sinucigasa".Multe elemente si locatii din Mass Effect sunt prezente in noul joc,avand chiar posibilitatea de a continua cu caracaterul din primul joc.
