USA Network’s “Mr. Robot” may be powering down after its upcoming fourth season, if what Christian Slater says is true.

The actor, who plays the deceased father of Rami Malek’s Elliot Alderson who appears only to Alderson as the eponymous Mr. Robot, told Collider that he expects the fourth season to be the hacker drama’s last.

“Yeah, Season 4, and I believe that will be the last season. [Show creator] Sam [Esmail] always said it was going to be somewhere in that zone, and he didn’t want to go further than what he could creatively contribute to that storyline,” Slater told Collider in an interview. “So, I think that Season 4 will be it.”

Despite his comments, there has been no official word on the fate of the show after the fourth season. A rep for USA Network declined to comment.
