Chelsea have issued a set of demands to wantaway striker Diego Costa

Costa has been frozen out by Blues boss Antonio Conte despite his impressive displays in their title-winning campaign last term.

He wants to move back to Madrid but Chelsea will only grant him such a move if his attitude improves.

The Sun claim the Blues have told Costa he must adhere to four key terms in his current contract.

Conte and co have told him he must return to the club immediately, take part in full training, get himself match fit and become available for selection.

Chelsea will only discuss selling him to Atletico if and when he does what he is told.

News of Chelsea’s ultimatum to Costa comes the same day as he aimed a series of shots at his employers.

In a wide-ranging interview, Costa told Daily Mail: “In January, things happened with the coach. I was on the brink of renewing my contract and they put the brakes on it.
