In 2008, the 450 RM-Z came out on the market as a real phenomenon ... For the first time we discovered a 4-stroke large-scale production powered by an electronic injection. A great success for Suzuki with a very well born engine that will seduce many crossman. But the least we can say is that at Suz 'we have since rested on its laurels! Certainly, developments have come about on the 450 RM-Z, with internal updates of the engine or the arrival of new suspensions (air fork). But developments not deep enough to talk about a real new generation ... But that was before, because for 2018 (and even from September 2017), the new 450 RM-Z sets the record straight!

After 10 years of waiting, we can tell you that she is attentively watching this 450 RMZ. The finishes are generally neat on the Suzuki, including this new frame which is a very nice piece. What made us regret a little the aluminum tank that equipped the Yellow so far, replaced in 2018 by a pale "can" all plastic. At least, the cycle part of this 450 RMZ is 100% new, with in passing a return to the good old springs in the fork and a damper of series unpublished on a cross.
There is no need to look for the electric starter button. While Honda and more recently Yamaha have taken the plunge, Suzuki remains (with Kawasaki) loyal to the kick. But it is not impossible that we will return to the magic button soon ... And looking closer, we soon realize that the engine of the 450 RMZ is not so far from that of Last year (and therefore of 2008!). The changes are to be observed notably at the level of the injection with a brand new system of supply / diffusion, but also on the side of the high engine slightly optimized. For now, understand that we can stay a bit on our hunger ... But the next will quickly make us forget this disappointment, finally almost ...
