A private test brings together MotoGP manufacturers in Misano

The official Yamaha and Honda drivers were on track Sunday, before passing the witness to their Ducati counterparts, Aprilia and KTM, for a valuable workout for the next races.

Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales have completed 90 laps on Sunday in Misano as part of a private test that saw them share the track with the Honda drivers. If the times remain secret under such circumstances, a Yamaha spokesman called the day very productive, despite the rain in the morning.

According to the same source, Rossi and Viñales concentrated for most of the day on finding a solution to limit excessive wear of the rear tire, which is the main problem currently faced by the YZR-M1, Have paid in Jerez, Barcelona or the Red Bull Ring at the last Grand Prix.

Ducati, KTM and Aprilia took over this Monday to prepare for the Great Britain Grand Prix which will be played next weekend in Silverstone and then San Marino in Misano on 10 September .

After a first day entrusted to its test driver Michele Pirro, Ducati will extend its presence tomorrow by rolling its holders. The manufacturer of Borgo Panigale wants to compare the different versions of his new fairing, tested at the two recent Grands Prix by Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo and Danilo Petrucci, while trying new development solutions.
