The concept of esports.
Esports (English eSports / electronic sports) is a type of competitive activity and special practice of preparing for competitions based on computer and/or video games, where the game provides an environment for interaction of control objects, providing equal conditions for human-to-human or team-to-team competitions.

The definition of esports is very clear, and it is based on the principle of sports equality. Therefore, not all disciplines can be the basis for professional esports. What are esports disciplines and how are they classified? In Russia, for example, esports is divided into 5 categories: 
three-dimensional shooters (3D shooter), simulation of combat between groups (teams) of players - for example, CS:GO;
tactical and strategic game - in the game there are battles between armies of game units of players with simultaneous development of the parties - for example, Starcraft, Warcraft;
team role-playing games with elements of a tactical and strategic game. The player controls his single model, developing it when interacting with the game space and models of other players — for example, League of Legends and Dota 2;
technical simulators - automotive and aviation;
simulators of sports games (football, hockey, basketball).
It's funny that the Hearthstone and Gwynt card games don't fall into these categories. Probably, a separate item will be introduced for them. There is also no category of "fighting games" like Mortal Kombat.
