ARC Raiders has warned that players involved in item duplication attempts could face strict action, while also announcing that Denuvo Anti-Cheat is set to play a larger role in monitoring its multiplayer experience. One of the first such exploits emerged when players discovered a way to duplicate weapons and ammo, which ultimately made ARC Raiders' PvP unplayable for some people for a while. When duplication glitches in ARC Raiders peaked, Embark Studios announced the first wave of strict action against players who had "excessively" abused them. However, similar exploits have continued to circulate among players, seemingly prompting Embark Studios to tighten its rules. On June 16, 2026, Embark Studios released update 1.33.0 for ARC Raiders, bringing a list of minor changes and bug fixes. The patch notes also included an announcement regarding item duplication glitches, signaling stricter action against players who abuse them. "We have been focusing on addressing item duplication and taking strict measures against those involved," the patch notes stated. "As part of our ongoing efforts against unfair play," Embark Studios added, "we're continuing to expand Denuvo Anti-Cheat to more players." Similar to the Swedish studio's previous warnings, the new statement does not explain how these "strict" actions affect flagged players. However, a quick look at Embark Studios' EULA, specifically the Ban and Enforcement Policy section, shows that the developer considers "exploiting bugs or glitches for unfair advantage" a form of misconduct that can result in temporary or permanent bans. That said, bans have been a tricky subject in ARC Raiders, as Embark Studios has a track record of penalizing players unjustifiably, such as banning players who were only using accessibility-style controllers. To be fair, Embark Studios' recent announcement suggests that the strict actions will result from a more thorough process. "It's detailed, methodical work, and we truly appreciate your patience while we see it through," the developer note said. However, it remains to be seen whether a slow process will have the deterrent effect needed to stop ARC Raiders players from exploiting bugs and glitches. The game also currently has several other glitches, such as wall-hack issues, that may require similar treatment, though it remains to be seen whether they will also trigger more strict actions. The studio has also announced a new in-game message aimed at informing players who report cheaters and keeping them updated on the enforcement team's actions. Players will receive an "Action Notice" whenever their report results in action from the development team, such as a ban issued to the reported player. They will also continue receiving loot compensation messages, which notify them about items returned to their inventory after being lost to an identified ARC Raiders cheater. For now, fans will need to wait for more updates from the development team to see how the actions against glitch exploiters affect ARC Raiders PvP. Embark Studios has adjusted the cadence of its updates, spacing major content releases further apart. As a result, the next major wave of changes for ARC Raiders is expected in October 2026, while the studio continues to roll out bug-fixing patches and hotfixes in the meantime. sursa

The very first officially-licensed KPop Demon Hunters LEGO set has just been announced, and it's set to release on August 1, 2026. This first LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set will give fans brick-built versions of the adorable Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird duo. Released on Netflix back in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters became something of an overnight sensation. Just a month after its debut, Netflix confirmed that KPop Demon Hunters had become the platform's most watched original animated movie of all time, and a month after that, it had risen to become the platform's most-watched film overall. As of December 2025, KPop Demon Hunters had received over 500 million views on Netflix. Given that KPop Demon Hunters was a surprise smash hit, fans have had to wait patiently for official merch to release. But now, almost a year after its debut, fans have just been given their first look at LEGO's upcoming KPop Demon Hunters range. Set to release on August 1, fans can now pre-order the LEGO Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird KPop Demon Hunters set via LEGO's website. This set will contain a total of 825 pieces and will retail for $69.99. With those 825 pieces, fans will be able to create cute blocky versions of these beloved KPop Demon Hunters demonic creatures. While the Sussie Bird build can rotate its head and move its feet, the LEGO Derpy Tiger will feature movable legs and paws, and a posable head. This upcoming LEGO Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird set will be just the first in a new wave of LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets. Back in February, LEGO announced an official collaboration with Netflix and the KPop Demon Hunters IP. In the original press release, LEGO mentioned that one set would be listed for pre-order in the Spring, with "additional sets" due for release in 2027. There's no official information just yet on what these additional LEGO KPop Demon Hunters sets could look like, or when specifically in 2027 they could release. It's also unclear if these sets will feature minifigures or the mini-dolls introduced in 2012 with the LEGO Friends theme. While LEGO's mini-dolls have been used in the Friends, Disney Princess, and more recently, Wicked themes, LEGO KPop Demon Hunters minifigure designs have technically already appeared as alternate skins in Fortnite's LEGO game mode. A new roguelike bullet heaven game on Steam, called Arms of God, blends Brotato's progression system with a Doom- and Diablo-inspired universe, and it already has Very Positive reviews. Brotato is an autoshooter with cartoony visuals and a lighthearted and comical tone. Arms of God, meanwhile, takes Brotato's gameplay formula, strips away the art style, and places it in a dark, gothic setting. Arms of God is another solo developer success story on Steam. Dominik Sójka spent the past four years working on the game alone, though its recent success prompted him to bring two more developers onto the project. Together, the three-person team behind Arms of God now operates as Dark Jay Studio, and its debut title is already gaining traction on Steam among fans of the bullet heaven genre. Released in early access on Steam on June 8, 2026, Arms of God has accumulated nearly 1,000 user reviews as of this writing, with an overall rating of Very Positive. Dark Jay Studio describes the game as a fresh take on Brotato, but with "actual lore, giant gothic cathedral, and demons," starring a futuristic Templar wielding a holy superweapon. Arms of God's Steam page sheds light on the inspiration behind its world-building, describing the game as a "roguelite bullet heaven arena autoshooter with Doom-esque gore vibes, metal music, and a satisfying combat feel." The character designs also appear to draw heavily from id Software's iconic shooter series. At the same time, the isometric camera perspective and flashy combat effects across hellish environments are likely to remind many players of the Diablo franchise. The game's lore also leans into religious themes, adding another similarity between Arms of God and Blizzard's long-running action RPG series. In Brotato, players experience a bullet heaven gameplay loop split into a series of short stages. Each run feels like a collection of quick sessions, where the goal is to survive enemy waves, eliminate as many foes as possible, and gather XP. Arms of God follows a similar formula. The game features 60 handcrafted levels, each with its own enemies, bosses, and objectives. Arms of God also features a supporter pack on Steam for around $13 USD. While the pack does not include any gameplay-affecting bonuses, it offers basic character customization options. The developer also plans to expand the bundle with additional content in future updates. Sursa

It's the end of the road for Assassin's Creed Shadows, but Ubisoft appears to be making sure the game goes out with a bang with this final content update. It's an exciting month for fans of Ubisoft's popular action adventure series, with Black Flag Resynced right around the corner, and the final content update arriving for Assassin's Creed Shadows. The Assassin's Creed franchise, especially the more recent entries in the long-running series, are no strangers to plenty of support, both with quality of life updates and additional content. While it may not have gotten quite the length of post-launch content that fans may have wanted, Assassin's Creed Shadows has seen many impactful updates, bringing major changes to the parkour system, adding new quests, rewards, and even a big expansion which took players to a completely new location called Awaji Island. Still, it's a bit of a bittersweet situation as the final content update arrives on June 16, bringing plenty of new content but also signaling the end of the journey. With the final Assassin's Creed Shadows update scheduled for June 16, Ubisoft is giving players a deeper look at what's coming to the game. In terms of content, one of the biggest additions is an endgame activity called Domains. Ubisoft calls this mode an "Animus-bending" activity that will have different modifiers added in to ensure replayability each time a player dives into it. It features five different maps, remixed from the base game, and challenges players to hone their builds across 10 difficulty settings. However, Domains aren't the only piece of the puzzle. Update 1.1.11 also features the game's final free story chapter called Black Tides. According to the associate game director, Black Tides represents the final story quest for both Naoe and Yasuke's journey, and it will put them into direct conflict with two high-ranking Templars known as the Black Cross. The duo have arrived in Japan specifically to hunt down the Assassin's Creed Shadows protagonists due to the trouble they have caused the organization, though it is hinted at that they may have ulterior motives as well. The trailer even teases the potential appearance of Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Kassandra as well. It's worth noting that this final mission won't just appear and has some pre-requisites that need to be completed first. Specifically, players will need to have completed the main campaign, while also finishing previously released DLC story drops like A Critical Encounter, which saw Assassin's Creed Shadows collaborate with voice actor and Critical Role member Robbie Daymond. Keep in mind that the Claws of Awaji expansion isn't necessary to see the "true" ending of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Sursa

Days after its official reveal, Nintendo removed some key descriptors for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake from the Nintendo eShop. However, Nintendo's efforts to keep some elements of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a surprise did not go as planned, as fans quickly shared the words that Nintendo removed. Following weeks of speculation and leaks across social media, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was officially revealed during the June 9 Nintendo Direct broadcast. The Ocarina of Time remake's first trailer did not show off any gameplay footage, as it was a callback to the game's original introduction. Images of the Great Deku Tree and the Kokiri Forest were seen on a tapestry, and the trailer ended with a look at Link sleeping as an image of the Triforce glowed on his left hand. Though The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will launch exclusively on Switch 2 later this year, the upcoming remake left fans with several questions. While it's a foregone conclusion that the Ocarina of Time remake will feature updated graphics, Nintendo silently removed most of its previous words concerning the upcoming project. As of this writing, the Nintendo Store listing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time stated that, "The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2!" Before Nintendo made the change, Zelda fans on social media said that the Ocarina of Time store page previously stated, "The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay." A thread on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit claimed that the original descriptors were found by searching for "Ocarina of Time remake website us" and similar terms on Google and other search engines. It is currently unclear why Nintendo altered the Ocarina of Time store page to exclude any mention of the game's visuals or gameplay. The only other details listed about the Ocarina of Time remake are the languages that the game will support in the Americas, along with a pending rating from the ESRB. Given that Ocarina of Time was previously ported to Nintendo 3DS systems in June 2011 with updated graphics and animations, it is also unclear if the upcoming Switch 2 port will be a similar project to the 3DS port or if it will be a full-on remake with additional features. Along with the Ocarina of Time remake, the anticipated movie adaptation of The Legend of Zelda is in post-production. The movie is directed by Wes Ball, with Nintendo executive Shigeru Miyamoto aiding in production. Though both projects are now out in the open, it is currently unclear when Nintendo will share more information concerning the immediate future of the Zelda franchise. However, Ocarina of Time is not the only N64-era remake that Nintendo will release this year. Star Fox, a remake of 1997's Star Fox 64, will launch on Switch 2 starting June 25. The upcoming title will include updated character designs and extended cutscenes. A free demo of Star Fox is now available for Switch 2 players to enjoy. Sursa

Leaks and rumors surrounding the next big Fortnite collaboration are a huge part of the game's community, and the newest claim to hit the internet is that Rambo is going to be coming to the battle royale. Fortnite is no stranger to adding classic film franchises to the game's crossover roster, but Rambo is an intriguing choice. The first Rambo movie hit theaters in 1982 with First Blood, and it has since spawned an entire series filled with high-octane action. Over the years, the titular character, John Rambo, has become one of actor Sylvester Stallone's most notable roles. The Rambo series is one of the most iconic 80s movie franchises, and it could find a surprising new home in the Fortnite universe. These claims come from leakers Wenso and DrCacahuette. All leaks and rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but John Rambo potentially being the next Fortnite crossover would be an exciting addition, especially for action movie lovers. As is expected with in-game collaborations, these leaks claim that new Fortnite skins and items will be coming to the Item Shop that are based on the beloved action hero. Right now, the leak has yet to reveal if there is a launch date for the rumored Rambo crossover. Bringing the character to Fortnite would add another major movie character into the mix. John Rambo would help round out the line of action hero skins that have been included over the years, like how Fortnite's Terminator crossover introduced the T-800 and Sarah Connor. Other franchises like Alien, Ghostbusters, and Predator brought even more classic franchises into the spotlight. Some of these 80s blockbusters may not be as popular as they once were, but they are a great way to introduce such iconic series to a brand-new audience that may not be familiar with them. This rumored crossover could also start to lay the groundwork to get people hyped about the Rambo series again, as there is currently a new movie in the works. The Rambo prequel is expected to come out next summer, and a Fortnite collaboration could be a great way to build some early excitement about the upcoming film. Fortnite has become one of the most popular ways for Hollywood to advertise projects that are coming out. Whether it's a movie or a musician's brand-new album, the game has grown beyond its gaming roots and has become a huge marketing tool. Only time will tell if the Rambo crossover rumors are true. Dragon's Dogma 2 is discontinuing its Deluxe Edition and a good portion of its DLC, meaning that from June 24, players will no longer be able to purchase that content. Interestingly, many of the Dragon's Dogma 2 DLCs being delisted are microtransactions that caused controversy just prior to the game's launch in March 2024. Developed by Capcom and released 12 years after the original cult hit fantasy action-RPG, Dragon's Dogma 2 was lauded by critics at launch, with the game earning a Top Critic Average of 87 on OpenCritic. Practically since launch, many fans wondered if Dragon's Dogma 2 would receive some kind of major expansion or overhaul, just as the 2012 original did with its upgraded 'Dark Arisen' version. Fans finally got their wish during the most recent Nintendo Direct, where Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen was confirmed to be launching on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 9. Announced via a Twitter post, the Deluxe Edition of Dragon's Dogma 2 is being delisted alongside a slew of DLC. The full list of soon-to-be-delisted Dragon's Dogma 2 DLCs is as follows: Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition A Boon for Adventurers – New Journey Pack Harpysnare Smoke Beacons – Harpy Lure Item Heartfelt Pendant – A Thoughtful Gift Ambivalent Rift Incense – Change Pawn Inclinations Makeshift Gaol Key – Escape from Gaol Art of Metamorphosis – Character Editor Portcrystal – Warp Location Marker Wakestone – Restore the Dead to Life 500 Rift Crystals – Points to Spend Beyond the Rift 1500 Rift Crystals – Points to Spend Beyond the Rift 2500 Rift Crystals – Points to Spend Beyond the Rift While the majority of Dragon's Dogma 2's DLC is being delisted, two add-ons will still be available to purchase after June 24. These are the Explorer's Camping Kit DLC and the Dragon's Dogma Music & Sound Collection. While the latter DLC swaps some sound effects and musical themes for those used in the original Dragon's Dogma, the Explorer's Camping Kit simply offers a different type of camp for players to use right away, which, as many in the DLC's Steam reviews section have pointed out, is a bit redundant given that players can just use in-game gold to purchase a more efficient camping kit early in the game. Mere days before Dragon's Dogma 2's March 2024 launch, the long-awaited fantasy RPG sequel drew ire for its microtransactions, many of which are being removed in this upcoming update. At the time, it seemed as though Capcom was charging players for basic features such as post-character creation customization and some key Pawn-related features. In truth, these items could be obtained easily through gameplay, with virtually no grinding necessary. Regardless, any Dragon's Dogma 2 newcomers won't even know these microtransactions ever existed. A sealed copy of 1985's Super Mario Bros. has broken the world record for the most expensive video game ever sold at auction, fetching a staggering $3 million. This particular copy of Super Mario Bros. caught the attention of collectors for several reasons, most notably its high-graded Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) certification, which essentially makes it the finest known example among its variants. Super Mario Bros. was originally released for the NES in 1985. It is widely regarded as one of the pioneering games of the platformer genre and, as the first entry in the Super Mario series, holds a special place in the hearts of many fans. As of this writing, only three known copies of the gloss-sealed version of Super Mario Bros. have been graded by services such as PSA. On June 12, 2026, Heritage Auctions set a new world record for the most expensive video game ever sold at auction, with a PSA 9.6 A++ copy of Super Mario Bros. selling for $3 million. The auction house described it as "the most significant video game ever offered," and there are several reasons why. This particular copy is currently the highest-graded known example of the game. The only other graded copies of the gloss-sealed variant are a Wata 9.4 A++ copy and a VGA 80 copy. The gloss sticker seal confirms that it comes from the cartridge's second production run. As a result, it is also one of the oldest known copies of Super Mario Bros. in near-perfect condition. Although paying breathtakingly high prices for rare video games is a relatively new trend, a clear pattern has emerged among many of these record-breaking sales. Most games that have sold for six- and seven-figure sums are classic Nintendo titles. For example, one of the biggest deals in recent years involved a copy of The Legend of Zelda that sold for about $870,000. Another notable sale saw a rare copy of Super Mario World fetch $144,000. Nintendo also co-owns the Pokemon franchise, which is well known for its appeal among collectors. Pokemon collectibles, particularly Pokemon Trading Card Game items, regularly sell for eye-catching amounts. It remains to be seen whether the current record for the most expensive video game will be broken any time soon. However, collectors would likely be willing to pay even more for a sealed first-production copy of Super Mario Bros., assuming one still exists. The record-setting sale also makes people wonder whether any of today's AAA video games will become highly sought-after collector's items 40 or 50 years from now. Sursa

Behaviour Interactive invited fans and media from across the globe to visit Montreal, where Dead by Daylight, the multiplayer asymmetrical horror phenomenon, is developed. A game that's somehow managed to stay relevant and continues to grow for over ten years now. During a massive tenth anniversary livestream for Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive had a boatload of information to share about the long-term future of the game, and also some content that's coming sooner than later. We'll get into it below, but the most important announcement that fans have been waiting for is the introduction of a new playable Killer that's been desired for a long time now, who is very terrifying (wink wink). Who's the Next Major Killer Coming to Dead by Daylight? Besides Jason Voorhees coming to Dead by Daylight on June 16 as part of the new chapter and The Judgment coming as part of Chorus of Sin in August, Behaviour Interactive has revealed that Art the Clown from the Terrifier film series is making his way into the game sometime in November. Another big reveal from the livestream is the debut of a new indigenous survivor named Shane Wiigwaas. He'll be part of 'The Life Road' Chapter, which will launch on June 25. On top of that, the community-voted expansion, Chorus of Sin, will bring a new Survivor named Aurora and a new original Killer, the Judgment, which is set to launch sometime in August to kick off the 41st Chapter of DbD. And to wrap up the Chapter news, The Casting of Frank Stone, a spin-off title developed by Supermassive Games, will be getting its own Chapter adaptation in Dead by Daylight, which will happen in early 2027. A new leak is sharing more details about an in-development co-op game set in the universe of The Witcher, taking place before the main story of the franchise. The Witcher spin-off will feature full character customization and skill-based progression. The fantasy adventure series from CD Projekt Red has cemented itself as one of the pinnacles of the RPG genre throughout its storied history. Based on the novels of the same name, The Witcher has received three main-series games since the release of The Witcher in 2007, alongside a multitude of expansions and spin-offs. CD Projekt Red has even teamed up with board game company Go On Board to develop multiple board games based on The Witcher, most recently crowdfunding more than $14 million for The Witcher: Legacy. Now, new leaks are hinting at a co-op spin-off of the beloved franchise. A recent unsourced leak reported by MP1st provided more details about an upcoming co-op spin-off of The Witcher. The game is said to be focused on mobile platforms and PCs, with the co-op Witcher adventure reportedly not receiving a console release. The spin-off, set in the year 1230, will put players in control of their own customizable Witcher and offers extensive character creation options. The Witcher spin-off will feature a primarily skill-based progression system, allowing players to employ abilities from different Witcher schools and customize their builds to their liking. No official release window was confirmed for the Witcher spin-off within the leak. The potential co-op Witcher game has already seen plenty of rumors in recent years. CD Projekt Red has previously confirmed that the studio is working on a spin-off of the series, given the working title "Project Sirius," said to be focused on multiplayer gameplay. The leak did not confirm whether the new game is a reboot of Project Sirius, though the two do share several similarities. The Witcher studio also revealed in early 2025 that it would be partnering with Monopoly GO and Pokemon GO publisher Scopely to create a new game for one of its IPs. A Witcher spin-off would have plenty of room to differentiate itself from the main-series games within its world. The Witcher games include plenty of iconic locations that could be re-visited in the spin-off, including landmarks around White Orchard, Velen, and Novigrad. The game could even expand beyond places featured within the main-series games, allowing fans to explore other parts of the Witcher universe. The co-op oriented gameplay will likely make the game's combat significantly different from previous games, encouraging teamwork between players. The Witcher fans should have lots to look forward to in the near future, with the next main game in the works. CD Projekt Red shared its first official reveal trailer for The Witcher 4 at the 2024 Game Awards, revealing that Ciri will be the protagonist in the next game. The studio also confirmed that the next Witcher trilogy will likely not receive DLC expansions like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with the games planned to release over a six-year time period. The Witcher franchise is gearing up to enter a new era, with lots of big changes on the way for the beloved series. Sursa

Fallout 76 has no plans to add more out-of-map Expeditions, according to the game's development team at Bethesda. Fallout 76 already features two Expeditions that players can embark on, along with previous map expansions via updates like Skyline Valley and Burning Springs. However, new Expeditions where players leave the main Fallout 76 map of Appalachia and explore a self-contained territory are seemingly off the table for the foreseeable future. Despite a rocky launch back in 2018, Fallout 76 has maintained a dedicated player base thanks to its consistent stream of new content. Updates like The Ghoul Within breathed new life into the game by allowing Fallout 76 players to become a ghoul, and the upcoming CAMPanions update overhauling the pet system so that players can bring CAMP pets along with them around the Appalachian Wasteland. Some of the best Fallout 76 updates are the ones that added new Expedition content, but those may now be a thing of the past. According to an interview with Insider Gaming, Fallout 76 creative director Jon Rush noted that the foundational issues with the Expeditions mechanic makes it unlikely that more will be added in the future. Part of the issue Rush notes with Fallout 76's Expeditions system is that it's very limiting in what players are able to do within these out-of-map locations. Compared to Fallout 76's core map, where players can roam and participate in events as they please, Expeditions offer a very linear experience where players travel to the location, complete a mission, and return. So far, Fallout 76 has featured two major Expeditions in its update history: Expeditions: The Pitt — September 2022 Expeditions: Atlantic City — December 2023 The first of these Expeditions brought players back to The Pitt, the Fallout universe's version of Pittsburgh from Fallout 3's iconic DLC of the same name. A year later, the second Fallout 76 Expedition took players to New Jersey via the Atlantic City Expedition, including access to the Pine Barrens and the local cryptid, the Jersey Devil. Although there are still plenty of places within the established Fallout universe that would make sense for players to visit as an Expedition, it seems like the team is moving away from that type of content for now. Instead, Rush notes that there are plans in the works for more in-map expansions. Fallout 76 has hit the content jackpot in recent years by expanding Fallout 76's Appalachian Wasteland map to give players access to more areas without having to worry about committing to an Expedition. The Skyline Valley update added the titular region to the southern part of the Fallout 76 map, and Burning Springs was added to the western side of the map, just across the river from Point Pleasant and its Mothman cult. While the lack of future Expeditions means Fallout 76 will largely have to stay contained to Appalachia, it also means that future content will be accessible directly from the game's main map without the additional steps required to embark on an Expedition. A new report claims to reveal the development budget for the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day, with the franchise's triumphant return costing several hundred million dollars. Gears of War: E-Day will be the first new main-series Gears of War game in seven years. The highly anticipated new entry in the Gears of War franchise will mark many departures from past games. E-Day will bring players back 14 years before the story of the original Gears of War, following protagonists Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago after the end of the Pendulum Wars. As the title of the game suggests, Gears of War: E-Day will heavily center on the Emergence Day event that saw the Locust Horde launch its first attack on humanity. A recent report from a prominent gaming insider is now sharing the budget that The Coalition and People Can Fly had to work with on E-Day. A recent statement from Tom Henderson on the Insider Gaming podcast reveals the massive budget for Gears of War: E-Day. According to Henderson, Gears of War: E-Day boasts a development budget upwards of $400 million, which he claims is "insane" for a Gears of War game. Henderson was hesitant throughout the podcast about whether Gears of War: E-Day would be able to earn enough to make up its budget, claiming that it "wasn't going to make any money" and that many gamers would not buy an Xbox just for Gears of War. Gears of War: E-Day is currently scheduled to be released on October 26. The podcast also saw Henderson comment on the recent decision from Xbox to cancel the planned PS5 release for Gears of War: E-Day. The game was heavily rumored to be launching simultaneously on PlayStation 5 alongside its Xbox debut, with PEGI ratings even listing a PS5 version for the shooter. Henderson referred to E-Day skipping the PS5 at launch as a "cheap win" for Xbox, asserting that his doubts about the game's success remained even when it was rumored to be coming to PS5. Microsoft's decision to reverse course on bringing Gears of War: E-Day to PS5 comes as Xbox has recently shifted its position with several of its games. Recent years have seen several of Microsoft's biggest first-party franchises releasing on PS5, including Fable, Gears of War Reloaded, and even a remaster of the original Halo coming to the console. Forza Horizon 6 was confirmed to be coming to the PS5 before the end of 2026, fresh off its massively successful launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The change could also affect future releases from Microsoft's first-party franchises, potentially remaining as Xbox exclusives. Gears of War: E-Day is just one of several major new releases set to come to Xbox consoles throughout the rest of the year. The previously mentioned Halo: Campaign Evolved showed new missions now and is set to launch on July 28, revamping the game that birthed one of Xbox's biggest first-party franchises. Xbox will also be one of the platforms to welcome one of the biggest gaming releases of recent years, with the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 planned to finally launch on November 19. Xbox looks to have a big second half of 2026 ahead, and Gears of War: E-Day will likely serve as one of the biggest highlights. Sursa

A batch of recent Call of Duty leaks is hinting at new ports of both Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 for the PS4 and PS5 in the near future. The Call of Duty ports would be the first new releases of the original games that started the Black Ops subseries in over a decade. The Call of Duty franchise has branched out in plenty of different directions since its roots as a World War 2-themed shooter. Modern Call of Duty releases are typically divided into one of two main subseries, with both Black Ops and Modern Warfare seeing massive success for Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software. The series has also seen success with its Warzone battle royale mode, receiving multiple new versions to coincide with major Call of Duty releases. Now, new leaks are hinting at the unexpected return of a pair of classic Call of Duty games. Multiple recent Call of Duty leaks are hinting at new ports for the first two games in the Black Ops subseries. First reported by prominent leaker PlayStation Game Size, the ports will bring both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 to the PS4 and PS5. The new versions are currently expected to be direct ports of the PS3 versions of the Black Ops games, rather than remastered versions with enhanced graphics. Gaming insider CharlieIntel later provided more information about the pair of Black Ops ports, suggesting that the ports only include a native PS4 version that will be backward-compatible on PS5. A release window was not confirmed for the Black Ops rereleases. The new Call of Duty ports will likely give fans the chance to relive some of the most groundbreaking games in the Call of Duty franchise. The original Call of Duty: Black Ops is often considered to be one of the pinnacles of the series, with the shooter sitting in the top 50 best-selling games of all time. Black Ops received multiple "Game of the Year" nominations at various industry award shows and has sold more than 30 million copies to date. Black Ops 2 performed similarly well following its release in 2012, selling more than 24 million copies. The rumored Call of Duty rereleases would be an unusual step for a franchise that has often chosen to reboot its older games. A renowned leaker with a proven track record reveals the internal target for the release of both Pokemon Winds and Waves and a 3D Super Mario game in 2027. Pokemon Winds and Waves were officially revealed at the Pokemon Direct on Pokemon Day this year, February 27, and they were confirmed for a 2027 release with no specific window announced. On the other hand, fans were hoping to see a new 3D Super Mario game at some point this year, but nothing was announced. Still, a 3D Mario game has been leaked multiple times, and it's reportedly launching next year. Pokemon Winds and Waves launching in 2027 had some fans happy about the prolonged wait after the issues with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's launch, but it was also bad news for others who were eagerly waiting for Gen 10. These games will launch around five years after Gen 9, so the hype is understandably massive. Super Mario fans had it much worse, though, as there has been no new 3D Mario game since Super Mario Odyssey in 2017. The next chapter in the beloved plumber's saga has yet to be announced, but it's refreshing to hear it's coming in 2027. Leak aggregator Centro Leaks shared a post on Twitter stating that Pokemon Winds and Waves are planned for a September 2027 release, with a new 3D Super Mario game planned for November 2027. The leak comes from a reputable and yet anonymous source, Billy, who has leaked the entire list of games and reveals for Pokemon Day 2026, among other things. The information is in line with a previous leak that said Pokemon Winds and Waves would launch in late 2027. It also makes sense that Pokemon would launch in September, possibly followed up by a DLC in December, with November dedicated to the next Mario game. Super Mario Odyssey will turn 10 years old next year, and November 2027 seems like the perfect time to launch a new 3D game after all this time. This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Super Mario games, and since the date is September 13, there's a chance that Nintendo will unveil its planned 2027 3D game on that occasion. Leaks are always to be taken with a pinch of salt, but between Billy's proven track record and the fact that these release months for Pokemon and Mario would make perfect sense, it's hard to argue against the information. Things may change further down the line, though, and it may be three months or more before the next Mario game is revealed. Sursa
