Chroma Camera releases CubeFF 35mm pinhole camera

British camera brand Chroma Camera has released a new pinhole 35mm camera called the CubeFF.

The CubeFF (Full Frame) is the second 35mm pinhole design to be released by the company, and joins the Baby Cube in the Chroma Camera line-up.

“My first pinhole camera, the 24×24 Baby Cube, was launched in November 2021 and I’ve built and shipped over 200 since then,” Chroma Camera’s Steve Lloyd told Kosmo Foto.

 

 

 

“Pretty much since that launch, I’ve had photographers asking me when I would make a full frame (24×36) format model too, so I’ve taken the opportunity to launch the brand new design CubeFF alongside the Baby Cube.”

 

 

 

 

“The shutter is a newly designed open/closed rotating magnetic disk, with an easily accessible trigger on the front plate. The CubeFF retains the 49mm magnetic filter ring from the Baby Cube, along with two strong grippy aluminium wind/rewind knobs and an integrated bubble level on the top plate. “

The CubeFF is available to order now from the Chroma Cameras website and costs £125. Like  all of Lloyd’s cameras, it is handbuilt to order in his workshop near Liverpool.

The CubeFF follows the release of the CubePan Advanced 35mm camera in 2023 and has been released ahead of a Kickstarter for the new Chroma Click, a 35mm camera which includes the Chroma DoubleGlass wide-angle lens.
