Pokemon Pokopia Announces Brand-New Event for August 13

Pokemon Pokopia has just announced a brand-new event set to begin on August 13. This upcoming Pokemon Pokopia event will revolve around the fish Pokemon Feebas.

 

Pokemon Pokopia, the long-awaited full-fledged cozy game from one of the world's most popular gaming franchises, finally released earlier this year, and it was met with rave reviews upon its debut. On OpenCritic, Pokopia is sitting at a Top Critic Average of 89, and a recommendation score of 97%, making it one of the highest-rated games of the year so far. Naturally, Pokemon Pokopia was also an immediate commercial success, selling over 2.2 million copies in just four days. 

 

From August 13 at 5am local time to August 28 at 4:59am local time, Pokemon Pokopia will be hosting a special 'Fetching Scales for Feebas' event. As its name implies, this event will see players interacting with the fish Pokemon Feebas, who will ask players to collect Prism Scales. These scales can then be traded for a variety of in-game rewards, such as swimming-themed furniture. Those new pieces of furniture can then be used to form an ideal habitat for Feebas and its evolved form Milotic. 

 

 

Something to note, however, is that the official announcement from The Pokemon Company confirms that this upcoming Feebas event will not take place in Bubbly Basin, despite its watery theming. Announced during the June Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Pokopia is now selling an Expansion Pass that will eventually bring three major expansions to the cozy builder. The first of these expansions, Bubbly Basin, will arrive on August 5, 2026. 

 

Those who have been playing Pokemon Pokopia since launch will be all too familiar with events like this one. Just five days after its release, Pokopia hosted the 'More Spores for Hoppip' event, which tasked players with collecting spores in order to unlock new items and befriend Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff. A month later, a similar event appeared for Sableye, who tasked players with collecting Red Crystal Fragments from Pokopia's Dream Islands. The most recent event to follow this structure was June's 'Wish Upon a Jirachi' event, which had players completing quests for Pokemon residents and earning Sparkling Wish Notes that could be exchanged for excluisve in-game items.
