Warner Bros. Games has released a full official profile for Tairax, the Moonlit Stalker, one of the latest dragons added to Game of Thrones: Dragonfire. The Epic Fire Hunter focuses on battlefield control, wielding an immense arsenal of tricks for disrupting enemy attacks in the popular Game of Thrones mobile game.

Tairax's debut was not entirely unexpected, as details about the dragon leaked online in mid-July 2026. Not to be confused with Prince Joffrey Velaryon's Tyraxes that House of the Dragon viewers will meet in the future (or Jaenara Belaerys's Terrax), Tairax is an original creature designed specifically for Game of Thrones: Dragonfire. Developer Warner Bros. Games Boston originally introduced it on July 20, when its latest Dragonfire update started rolling out to players.

Keeping in line with typical mobile development practices, the studio opted for a staggered release instead of debuting everything everywhere all at once. According to Game of Thrones: Dragonfire's official Tairax guide, the Moonlit Stalker can repeatedly inflict Stagger and punish enemies already affected by Control effects. Stagger prevents targets from performing basic attacks or using attack-modifying Commands, making it especially effective against dragons that rely on those actions.

Denying enemy attacks, if done effectively, can be just as potent as healing, with Tairax thus being well-equipped to ensure her allies survive into the later rounds. Her disruptive abilities extend beyond Stagger; Tairax very much lives up to her Epic Fire Hunter classification, what with its ability to deal fire damage and inflict enemies with burn. While they come with some limitations, these abilities still make the Moonlit Stalker the single most significant control meta boost since Game of Thrones: Dragonfire launched in early June 2026.

The Moonlit Stalker's five Habits reinforce her focus on later rounds. Whisper of Ash reduces an opponent's Strength and Initiative during the first five rounds, then increases Tairax's Intelligence and Initiative from round six onward. Sunder raises the damage taken by enemies affected by Control each round, while Gleamstrike improves Burning Ward's chance to inflict Stagger and deals Fire Damage to every enemy under a Control effect. Gift of Fire can grant Resistance to allies based on the number of burning enemies.

Moonlit Hunt gives Tairax Evade for the opening five rounds, then increases her Fire Damage for the next five. Game of Thrones: Dragonfire remains free to download on iOS and Android, while Tairax is available as a $2.99 direct purchase through both the App Store and Google Play. Players can also summon the unit using Dragonfire's free rewards, including small amounts of digital gold granted through daily login bonuses.
