Owning a car

Hi. I am pretty new on this server, I am level 3 for now and i was wondering how can I get some car for my own. I saw topic here on forum with buying car but even 1 million for car is too big price for me at this while. I found some car standing on carpark and bought vehicle keys for it. I was able to lock and unlock this car until I relogged. After relog i came back to my car which i hid far from any people and it was unlocked. I wasnt able anymore to lock it and while i was typing /lock, it was saying that i do not own a car. So question is: Can i make this car my own or only way to have my own car is buying it for so big prices? Thanks in advance for answers.

The cars you find parked on the streets or alleys are normal cars which everyone can drive. If you want to put a lock on them you need to buys keys from a 24/7 store. The keys will lock the last car you have driven. If your car explodes you can still find it in its respawn place, if you found it parked somewhere. After you relog you will lose the keys to the car.

 

If you want a car of your own, these are called personal cars, you need to buy it from a player that has a personal car and is willing to sell it. Please have in mind that these cars are not cheap, the cheapest being around 70.000.000$. After you buy a personal car, you will still have it after you relog. You will have permanent keys to it, you can change the carplate, the color, buy insurance, park it where you like etc.

 

You can also rent cars, either from the LS Car Rent or the LV Car Rent.
